Day 25: Trabadelo - O'Cebreiro

We are a bit disappointed with this stage, to tell you the truth. We were expecting the climb to O'Cebreiro to be an amazing experience, but basically the camino goes on the road all the way to the top, minus the last 4km. So that, plus the fact that it rained all day, didn't make us too happy about it.

Don't get me wrong, it was nice enough, but there are stages far more beautiful than this one. Fortunately the last 4km of mountain path and the view from the top compensated for the rest of the way. The snow that had fallen on the previous week was now melting, making it very hard to walk on the path from a certain point on.. So back to the road we went!

We wanted to go further than O'Cebreiro, but by the time we got up there we were soaked (we thought we wouldn't need the ponchos, bad decision!) and after stopping for lunch I was freezing, really, to the point of getting hard to move my fingers!

So we stayed at the albergue. We were a bit disappointed with it also: the kitchen had only one small pot, two spoons, a cutting knife and about 6 glasses! Plus, the showers didn't had any door or curtain, that is also a bit annoying.. At least men and women had different facilities!
